Originally a thousand-year-old fox spirit from the Tomb of Xuanyuan, she was secretly ordered by Nüwa to enter the palace in the guise of the daughter of Su Hu, the Marquis of Jizhou. After entering the palace, she gained the exclusive favor of King Zhou, harmed Queen Jiang, plotted against Bi Gan, and created the cruel punishments of the bronze pillar and the snake pit, causing chaos in the court. After the fall of Shang, she was beheaded.
