Serving as the vanguard at Chuanyun Pass for the Shang Dynasty, he used his法宝 Sizhi Su to capture several Zhou generals including Huang Feihu, Hong Jin, and Nangong Shi in succession. However, when the法宝 proved ineffective against Nezha, who had a lotus incarnation, he was killed by Nezha's Qiankun Circle.
